MAISON MARAZUL’s modern Moorish architecture features local and ethically sourced materials and artisanal craftsmanship. Soaring rooflines meet beamed ceilings, clerestory windows and skylights to provide natural light, magnifying the mood of tranquility.
The walls are hand applied Venetian plaster, the cool concrete floors emulate alabaster. Interior doors reveal to outdoor decks and lounge spaces to expand the open plan living space. Inside-out or outside-in, an abundance of tempting spaces entice one to nap, daydream, or read a book.
Although air conditioning is provided in all rooms, the house is cooled naturally by cross ventilation and ocean breezes. With consideration for the environment and proximity to the ocean, the house has incorporated green technology with its own state-of-the-art waste treatment plant. Recycling and conservation are important and part of our practice at MAISON MARAZUL.
